Volunteer Futures Symposium Highlights!

Volunteer Futures Symposium 2018 on October 3 & 4 in Richmond was fun-filled event! We had 22 speakers and 11 sessions to choose from spanning topics from working with Indigenous organizations, volunteer recognition, bullying in the workplace to tracking your success, there was a lots to learn from these incredible speakers.

Favourite moments from #VFS2018

Keynote - Kris Archie from The Circle along with other Indigenous Charitable Leaders shared their wisdom and experiential insight on partnership, collaboration and volunteerism.

Jason Shim from Pathways to Education Canada presented a dynamic session on how not to suck at digital youth engagement and taught attendees some dance moves!

Birds a Feather Breakfast - we introduced a new way of networking based on on shared interests and topics.

Show/Tells - we invited a wide range of organizations to come talk about their tools/resources in short but informative format. These included: OassisBMS InsurancedarelleJunior Achievement of BC & Wayblaze.

Centres at the event to meet and exchange ideas on how to build a strong Volunteer Centre Network in BC.
